I wanted to do at least one longer cottage tour on skis this year, and the four free days of Easter were the best window for it. I started looking for suitable routes, and came up with a suggestion with both start and finish in Vålådalen. Later on, my mother, my brother and I decided to go to the Stensdalen cottages together, wherefrom I would then continue while they were to turn back after the first night. As the time drew near, weather conditions and forecasts were favorable, so we commenced the expedition with great optimism.

Here, then, is the account of what transpired during the subsequent four days. Each section has a header consisting of a short overview of the stage in question, complete with a map showing the route travelled. A ring marks the starting point, a square the lunch break locations, and a star the destination. Vertical distances have been calculated from the map and have an accuracy of 20 m. All breakfasts consisted of oatmeal porridge, tea and a sandwich.
