Summary
While not a bullseye among tours, this one was certainly worth the effort. I got to see a fair amount of both blue sky, pretty peaks and beautiful light-play – and just staying in cottages is always pleasant. As for the hard weather, I felt on top of things all the time, and it is always good to know that I can trust myself and my equipment when going gets rough. In fact, I found the last episode in Láddjuvággi strangely enjoyable; it was so bad that it was good...
On another note, the Curse of Kungsleden previously referred to seemed about to be broken for a while – this time I even got a good view of Drakryggen! – but then the universe apparently corrected itself. I will also confess that I have never felt particularly strongly about Sälka, but the moonlit evening and early night in this tour has swayed me. Another thing I brought with me is the card game the Germans taught me, which I put to use at later times.
All in all, a good use of my first longer leave if I may say so.
